I was pleasantly surprised by how clear the instructions are—matching up those tonal jewel blocks was way easier than I expected. The pattern’s layout keeps the two block types distinct, so the finished top really looks like a bed of gems.

The two pieced blocks play off each other beautifully—the contrasting patterns make the quilt look far more complex than it actually is to sew. Even just laying the pieces out, the tonal jewels catch the light in a way that feels almost dimensional.

The tonal jewel colors in these fabrics really pop once you lay out the two contrasting blocks. I’ve already started piecing mine and love how the hidden gems design keeps each new seam interesting.
