Feathered Star de Free Spirit + Paper Pieces®

The fabric in this William Morris collection is just gorgeous—the Buttermere prints have that rich, old-world feel that makes the feathered star pattern really pop. I’ve already started cutting the pieces and they’re true to size, so assembly is a breeze.

The paper pieces fit together so precisely, it made piecing those intricate feathered star points a joy instead of a headache. The rich plum and teal tones in that Buttermere print really pop against the background.

The William Morris “Buttermere” fabrics in this kit are even richer in person than in the photos—the plumage colors just glow under natural light. Cutting the pieces for the feathered star was a breeze since everything is so well coordinated. I’m already planning my next quilt with these prints.
