The English paper piecing section was my first real attempt at EPP and the instructions made it painless, even for a beginner like me. I expected the applique part to be fiddly but it actually came together in a weekend of slow stitching.

The combination of machine piecing with the applique sections kept this from feeling repetitive, which I appreciated on a long project. The EPP portions are genuinely achievable for a slow stitching pace, though I'd set aside a full weekend for the first block.

I'd never tried English Paper Piecing before this, and the mix of EPP with machine piecing kept it from feeling tedious. The slow stitching parts were genuinely relaxing, and it came together faster than I expected for something that looks this detailed.
