The transition from the original machine piecing to 72 EPP blocks is brilliantly handled, and the strip piecing instructions flow really well. I’ve made three of Jen’s patterns before, and this one feels the most thoughtfully laid out for keeping track of all those pieces.

Lucy ★★★★★

The 72 EPP blocks feel like a whole project on their own, and the machine pieced strips give me a nice break between hand-sewing sessions. I’ve had this pattern for two weeks and already have the first dozen blocks basted. It’s challenging but so satisfying to watch the layout come together.

The 72 paper pieced blocks are a nice challenge, though I wish the pattern had a few more diagrams for the machine-pieced strips. Still, Jen Kingwell's layout is clever and comes together beautifully once you get the hang of it.
