This simple double wedding ring quilt is an easy way to try a traditional pattern without the long-term commitment of a large quilt. Watch the direction of the pieces as you form the arcs so that they fit together properly. Each of the shapes uses a 2-1/2" square of fabric, so this pattern works well with a Charm Square Pack or Mini Charm Square Pack. Shown using the Norma Rose Charm Square Pack by Natalie Barnes.

The arcs are surprisingly easy to align once you get the rhythm going, and the paper pieces tear away cleanly without snagging the fabric. Finished a small wall hanging in one weekend, which felt just right for testing this pattern out.

The paper pieces kept their shape perfectly while I sewed the arcs, so the curves came out smooth without any puckering. I've already got the wall hanging basted and can't wait to hang it up.
