The pre-cut paper pieces save so much tracing time, and the medallion layout comes together way faster than I expected. Having the instructions in the Flossie Teacakes book makes the fussy curves manageable even for a beginner at English paper piecing.

I bought this medallion set after seeing the design in the English paper piecing guide, and the pre-cut pieces made the curved ripples way less fiddly than cutting my own. The pattern instructions are clear enough that I finished the center rosette in one evening.

I've done a few English paper piecing projects but this medallion is easily my favorite so far. The pattern set comes with plenty of pieces, and following the instructions in the guide made the whole thing come together without much fuss. Curved seams usually scare me, but this one was a joy.
