4" Nighttime Butterflies

I was a little worried the acrylic templates wouldn’t cut cleanly, but they slide through paper like butter. The 4-inch size is just right for layering into cards without overwhelming them.

The paper thickness is perfect for detailed cutwork, and the template made tracing the butterfly wings a breeze. I was surprised at how crisp the edges turned out—they look lovely against a dark wall at night.

I used one of the acrylic templates to trace onto fabric for a quilt block—the corners lined up perfectly every time. The paper pieces are just the right thickness for basting without tearing.
