Astro Quilt by Libs Elliott + Paper Pieces®

I was a bit intimidated by the pattern at first, but the fabric pieces are pre-cut precisely, so assembly was smooth and satisfying. The finished quilt top has that layered, almost 3D look I was hoping for.

The way the shapes nest together really tricks the eye—I keep staring at my finished block to figure out which layer sits on top. It’s got that playful depth that makes piecing feel like a little puzzle, and the angles sew up surprisingly tidy.

I love how the layered triangles create that optical illusion of depth—it makes the quilt look much more complex than it actually is to piece. The pattern instructions were clear and easy to follow, even for a relative beginner.
