The Late Bloomers trovato in Millefiori Quilts 4 di Willyne Hammerstein

The Millefiori Quilts 4 book has the pattern charted out clearly, and pairing it with the acrylic templates made cutting the shapes way less tedious than tracing by hand. Finished top came out right at 46 by 56-1/2 inches, just like the listing said.

I'd never tackled English paper piecing before this, and the acrylic templates made cutting the curved shapes way less intimidating than I expected. At 46" x 56-1/2" it's a manageable lap size, though I'm already planning a second one bigger.

I've been quilting for years and Willyne Hammerstein's patterns still stump me, but this one came together nicely once I got the pieces laid out. Finished at 46 by 56-1/2 inches, which is a good lap size. Just a heads up that the paper pieces and templates are sold separately from the book.
