Motif Fly Over par Carl Hentsch

Cutting those tiny pieces is usually a chore, but the precision of the die-cut templates here made it almost relaxing. The way the hexagons lock together was immediately satisfying, and my first flower block came together in under an hour.

I’ve been using this Fly Over Pattern for my latest English paper piecing project, and the template design makes aligning those tricky angles almost effortless. It’s really satisfying how the distinct shapes lock into place without any shifting as I tack them.

I had been looking for a paper piecing pattern that would push my skills without being impossible, and Fly Over fit perfectly. The straight lines and angles in the design made it much easier to line up pieces accurately than I expected. It's now my go-to for a satisfying weekend project.
