I was a bit nervous about trying English paper piecing with curves, but the three new shapes in this pattern make it surprisingly approachable. The gentle curves create such lovely flower motifs in my favorite fabrics, and the instructions are clear enough for a beginner like me.

The curved pieces fit together much more smoothly than I expected for an EPP project, and the three new shapes made the flower blocks come alive. I’m already planning my next quilt with these templates.

I’ve been using the Tenderness Quilt pattern for a few weeks now and the gentle curves of the new shapes make English Paper Piecing feel surprisingly smooth. It’s a joy to see the flowers come together in my favorite fabrics, exactly as described.
