9-1/2" 40 Petal Chrysanthemums

The petals are cut precisely, so they fit together without any gaps. I’m using them for a king-sized quilt and the 9-1/2” size makes the design pop without feeling overwhelming.

The 1/4" seam allowance is pre-marked, which saved me so much time with my fussy cutting. I’ve already used two packs on a queen-sized quilt and the petals join together cleanly.

I was a bit worried these large paper pieces would be flimsy, but the 9-1/2" size holds its shape beautifully while I baste the 40 petals together. Makes my English paper piecing project feel much more intricate than it actually is.
