2" 8 Petal Curved Chrysanthemums

I was a bit worried the acrylics might be too flimsy for my EPP projects, but these 2" pieces are nice and sturdy—the petals curve just right.

The curved petals make these chrysanthemums so much easier to fussy-cut around than the straight-edged shapes I've tried before. The 2" size works great for a lap quilt I'm piecing, and the paper pieces hold their shape nicely through multiple stitches.

The acrylic template is rigid enough to hold its shape while basting, which made my curved seams much more accurate than with paper alone. I’m halfway through a floral wall hanging and these petals are saving me so much frustration.
